Junior middleweight titleholder Cory Spinks’ defense against Cornelius Bundrage has been postponed. Spinks (37-5, 11 KOs) was supposed to defend his title in his hometown of St. Louis on June 12, but promoter Don King said Wednesday that conflicting interests forced him to move the bout to a future card.

Danish heavyweight Brian Nielsen is coming out of retirement at age 45. Promoter Kalle Sauerland says Nielsen has signed a deal for a comeback fight later this year, possibly in November. Sauerland said no opponent had been lined up, but Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet says Nielsen could fight 47-year-old former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield.

Vitali Klitschko of Ukraine defended his WBC heavyweight championship belt Saturday night with a 10th-round knockout of Albert Sosnowski of Poland. Klitschko improved his record to 42-2 (38 KOs) after the ring referee called the 12-round bout following a left-right combination to Sosnowski’s head at the 2 minute, 30 second mark of the 10th round.

Souleymane Mbaye of France has earned a unanimous decision over Antonin Decarie of Canada to win a vacant interim welterweight title. Mbaye knocked down Decarie in the fourth round and won all three judges’ scorecards. Jose Ignacio Martinez and John Coyle scored the bout 116-113, and Pierluigi Poppi had it 116-112.
